the working man

Nothing But Trouble (1991): an over the top comedy about some well-to-do's under the control of a deranged judge. the production design people must have had a field day creating everything. the comedy from chevy is just about as good as you'll get from him. john candy does great in both of his characters. i would have like to of seen how his career could have turned out. watch for a very unnecessary cameo of 2pac and digital underground perform a music video in front of the judge. dan aykroyd plays the judge and after about five minutes you forget he's even behind all the makeup. the movie gets way too ridiculous to even be interested to find out what happens next. in the end i really got nothing out of it. it's like a movie that they play on tnt at 1 in the afternoon. it comes on right after the money pit. don't see.

The Break-Up (2006): a guy and a girl get together and after a few years they break up. no big surprises. i didn't find the movie to be incredibly funny. there were maybe six or seven really funny, laugh out loud jokes (usually from vince), but the rest were a little dry and just dumb. the ending was alright i suppose and they left the ending pretty open enough for a sequel, which would bomb of course. unless they made it soon after vince and jennifer get married. one of the biggest highlights for me in this movie was when vince was playing san andreas on his playstation. they showed a couple scenes from the game from what look to be santa maria beach and jefferson, both in los santos. so keep an eye out for that. other than that it's pretty forgettable. well, jennifer aniston is naked, so it's not totally forgettable. it's a good couple movie, but no one else should see it.

i'm working with the lloyds now a few days of the week helping with their embroidery business. it's not too bad and it gives me something to do during the boring week day. the work reminds me of when i worked for apparel label a couple of years back. it's tough work and sometimes fulfilling. it's not the most fun work, but it will be good though.
